Lining up music for our daughter's wedding at Meadowood was an adventure: we were determined
to feature classical music, while avoiding the familiar selections that one typically hears at weddings. The Eloquence
String Quartet offered us an extensive repertoire-organized by genre- assuring us that, in addition, we could request any
music that was not on their published list. They invited us to attend an interactive rehearsal where we listened to
excerpts and began to finalize our program.
We especially appreciate the professionalism and versatility of this
group. Peggy Brady worked with us to find elegant music for the ceremony, with the appropriate tempo for the graceful
entrance and exit of our wedding party. The Quartet also performed pieces that we selected, including a duet from the
Bach violin concerto and a challenging movement from a Beethoven quartet that we especially like.
For the reception
they entertained with light classics and current pops-- providing enjoyment for guests of all ages and musical preferences.
It is no surprise, then, that among our most cherished memories of this special day is the exquisite
music "long after it is heard no more"
